Sunday May 31st, 2020 - Austin TX: Protesters march against police brutality following the death of George Floyd on May 25th. The majority of my coverage took place around the Texas State Capitol and the Governor's Mansion in the heart of the city. In this folder you will see protesters, aid volunteers and members of the government, including local police, State Police and the National Guard. While I was not witness to it, clashes did break out across the city at Austin Police Dept. headquarters, where police fired smoke and non-lethal projectiles at protesters, seriously injuring some. While the situation continues, peaceful protests are being infiltrated by those seeking to incite violence and a strong response from government agencies.
